K2 children have just learnt about fungi and different parts of a mushroom. Mushrooms were brought in for the children to observe; children used magnifying glasses to look at the mushrooms closely and they smell and touch them too.

Hazel takes a sniff of the Abalone Mushroom. "Mmm… Nice smell!” she said.


After the observation activity, the story ‘Mushroom in the rain’ was read to the children. Children have enjoyed the story and were excited when told that we were going to dramatize the story out. Before the dramatization, we had a discussion on the props and materials needed. After that, the children helped to draw, paint, cut and paste the necessary props.

我们在个学期的课程是昆虫,让孩子认识昆虫的特征:六只脚,身体是由头、胸、腹三个部位组成的,它们还有两对翅膀,
虽然蜘蛛有六只脚不是属于昆虫。
很多昆虫的名称都以“虫”字做偏旁,如:蜻蜓、螳螂、蟑螂、萤火虫、蟋蟀、蜜蜂、蚊子、蜘蛛、苍蝇、瓢虫,孩子也会认读这些词汇。
孩子也学会了一些有关昆虫的儿歌;选了两首让你们跟孩子一起念:


1。是谁?是谁?
            
咕呱咕呱!
谁在打鼓?
青蛙说:“是我,是我。”
嗡嗡嗡嗡!
谁在采蜜?
蜜蜂说:“是我,是我。”
一闪一闪,
谁在赶路?
萤火虫说:“是我,是我。”
一对一对,
谁在跳舞?
蝴蝶:“是我,是我。”
